Construction Spending Lowest Since 2001

According to the latest report released Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Commerce, it would appear that construction spending declined by 0.6 percent in July, which is double the 0.3 percent decrease analysts had been expecting, and the largest drop since February of this year when the findings revealed a 0.9 percent decline.
