Bye Food Pyramid, Hello Media Pyramid!

feature photo

Remember grade school?  You know, the USDA’s basic food groups, each having their own special portion of the pyramid.  I’m not sure if I’ve ever known anyone who actually followed the prescribed pyramid to the letter.  Though that is not a bad thing.  After all it seems as if half of the advice we were exposed to is no longer valid.

Now enters the media pyramid.  I don’t know about you, but did you realize that you’re supposed to have a balanced media diet?  Think about that.  How many screens do you look at each day?  Are you dividing your time equally between various types of media?  Does certain media actually care about how much time your spending with other media?

Just in case these questions are boring a hole in your soul; all your answers will be found within the graphic designed by Wired and illustrated by Jason Lee.

One last question for consideration.  What floors are you stuck on?
